Respected Sir,

Sub: Humble Representation Regarding Technical Issues Faced on Income Tax Portal Affecting Tax Audit Filings Before Due Date

We hope this letter finds you in good health. We are writing to bring to your kind notice  a matter of urgent concern regarding persistent technical issues being experienced on the Income Tax e-filing portal, which are affecting the ability of taxpayers and professionals to submit tax audit reports ahead of the due date, which is set for 30th September 2024.

Concerns Over Technical Issues on Income Tax Portal Affecting Audit Filings

Over the past several days, numerous stakeholders, including tax professionals and taxpayers, have reported difficulties in accessing and uploading the necessary documents on the portal. These issues include the following:

1. Inability to log in to the portal or extremely slow performance, causing significant delays.

2. Frequent timeouts and errors during the process of uploading tax audit reports.

3. Intermittent outages leading to loss of progress during submission, requiring multiple attempts.

These disruptions are causing considerable distress to taxpayers and professionals who are trying to comply with the statutory requirements within the stipulated timeline. With the tax audit report submission deadline fast approaching, these technical challenges may result in an unprecedented backlog and unnecessary hardships for all involved.

We sincerely request your intervention to ensure that the portal functions optimally, allowing users to seamlessly log in, upload, and submit the Tax Audit Reports.

We believe that timely action on this matter will greatly assist taxpayers and professionals in fulfilling their obligations without unnecessary stress.

We humbly request your Honour to kindly consider this representation as early as possible.

Thanking your honour in anticipation,
