The tax officials have been getting this comfort tax for long and it is not easy to change the habit ,,, By demanding money they are really damaging their own self respect and self respect of their families too whom they are looking after using the ill earned and cursed money.. Even the tax payers are not that fair as they appear to be … they dont declare even 50 % of their incomes earlier … Good work by CBI … Now the question is to change the attitude of the govt officials who are getting paid heavily by govt ,,, today only they got 7% jumb in DA when un organized sector is reeling under difficult situations in job and employement market …

An IT Officer is harassing the women IT payee by sending multiple Notices one after another and asking them through phone and notices to appear before him and continue to stay with him till he allows them to leave. The only fault of the women was to remind CPC for paying pending refund lying with the IT Officer for four years which was determined and paid by him with interest. When this IT Officer was requested to intimate the income which has escaped assessment in the previous returns which have been duly scrutiniseed by him as well as CPC and have given refund, he has issued another notice. Is there any remedy to end this tyranny, mental torture and hardship created for senior women citizens by these IT Officers?

I m not very hopeful against this case, it goes to judicials and may escape through the same route. He will bribe someone else and will face least action or the justice will be delayed for so long that it will mean nothing. No examples will be set… afraid to say.

  8. CA A N V Ramani says:

Put the accused and his spouce and children in jail. Let us see if this brings a change theire behaviour. Change law accordingly
