Mumbai, 6 November 2026: Voltas Limited, a leading air conditioning brand under the Tata Group, has reported a strong performance for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2027, ending 30 September 2026. The company maintained its leadership in the Indian Room Air Conditioner (RAC) market, achieving a 32% volume growth in this segment. Voltas’ market share stood at 17.4%, a 4.2% lead over its closest competitor, underscoring the brand’s strength and extensive distribution network.
The Unitary Cooling Products business, driven by the RAC segment, recorded a 29% revenue growth, despite facing challenges from commodity price fluctuations and currency pressures. The company’s strategic focus on product innovation and distribution expansion contributed to this growth. Meanwhile, Voltbek, Voltas’ joint venture in home appliances, posted record Q2 sales, bolstering its market presence in Washing Machines and Refrigerators.
Voltas’ Electro-Mechanical Projects and Services segment maintained its momentum, supported by a robust order book exceeding ₹6,800 crore. This segment’s performance was buoyed by domestic project wins in industrial infrastructure and data centres, alongside a favourable resolution of international project liabilities. The Engineering Products and Services division also saw over 30% growth, driven by Mining and Construction Equipment and Textile Machinery.
For the quarter, Voltas reported a consolidated total income of ₹2,746 crores, up from ₹2,412 crores in the same period last year. The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased to ₹83 crores from ₹54 crores, while Profit After Tax (PAT) rose to ₹48 crores from ₹32 crores in Q2 FY26. This performance reflects Voltas’ strategic emphasis on market competitiveness, cost optimisation, and disciplined execution across its business segments.
Analysts view Voltas’ performance as indicative of its strong market positioning and effective management strategies, particularly in navigating cost pressures and expanding its product offerings. The company’s continued focus on innovation and market expansion is expected to support its growth trajectory, despite broader economic challenges.
