Chennai, November 6, 2026: Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Limited (CFHL) has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, reporting a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,520 crore. This marks a 25% increase from the ₹1,214 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous year. The company’s consolidated total income for the quarter stood at ₹11,388 crore, reflecting a 19% growth compared to the ₹9,589 crore reported in the corresponding period last year.
Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd (CIFCL), in which CFHL holds a 43.48% stake, also demonstrated robust performance with disbursements totalling ₹35,872 crore in the second quarter of FY27. This represents a substantial 47% increase from the ₹24,442 crore disbursed in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. CIFCL’s PAT for the quarter rose by 41% to ₹1,630 crore, compared to ₹1,155 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The assets under management for the company grew by 23%, reaching ₹2,68,009 crore as of 30 September 2026.
Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd. (CMSGICL), a subsidiary in which CFHL holds a 60% stake, reported a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of ₹4,618 crore for the first half of FY27, a 6% increase from the previous year. However, CMSGICL faced challenges, recording a post-tax loss of ₹120 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, compared to a PAT of ₹46 crore in the same period last year. The decline in profit was attributed to natural catastrophe events and higher claims in the Motor OD segment.
Cholamandalam MS Risk Services Ltd., a joint venture with a 49.5% stake held by CFHL, reported a total income of ₹26.32 crore for the quarter, up from ₹22.89 crore in the previous year. However, its PAT decreased to ₹0.85 crore from ₹1.45 crore in the same period last year.
Analysts note that while CFHL and its subsidiaries have shown strong growth in income and disbursements, the challenges faced by CMSGICL could impact overall profitability. The company’s strategic investments and diversified portfolio continue to support its financial stability amidst varying market conditions.
