Trade Notice No. 33/2019-20

Subject: Imports of Maize (feed grade) under the TRQ Scheme for 2019-20.

Reference is invited to Trade Notice No.25 dated 09.07.2019 wherein applications were invited from STEs for import of 4 Lakh MT of feed grade Maize (corn) under the TRQ scheme @ 15% Customs duty and meant only for actual users for the financial year 2019-20.

2. In response to the Trade Notice No.25 dated 09.07.2019, MMTC had submitted application for a total quantity of 4 Lakh MT and NAFED, for a total quantity of 2, 25,000 MT.

3. The quota of 4 Lakh MT is distributed amongst MMTC and NAFED, equally. Therefore, MMTC is allocated total quantity of 2 Lakh MT and 2 Lakh MT is allocated to NAFED under the TRQ Scheme for 2019-20, subject to the conditions mentioned in Trade Notice No.25 dated 09.07.2019. Both MMTC and NAFED will ensure ‘Actual User’ condition as per Trade Notice No.25 dated 09.07.2019. This is in addition to quota allocated vide Trade Notice No.18/2019-20 dated 14th June, 2019.

This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
