PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 30 (RE:99) /1997-2002
NEW DELHI: the 6th September,1999
Subject: Deemed export benefits for Faridabad Gas based Power Station of NTPC, Simhadri Thermal Power Project (II) of NTPC and Bakreshwar Thermal Power Project (III) of W.B. P.D.C.L. under 10.2(d) of Exim Policy, 1997-2002.
As per paragraph 10.2(d) of the Exim Policy, 1997-2002, read with Appendix 40 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), 1997-2002, supply of goods to projects financed by OECF are entitled for deemed export benefits as given under paragraph 10.3 of Exim Policy.
2. Faridabad Gas Based Power Station of NTPC, Simhadri Thermal Power (II) of NTPC and Bakreshwar Thermal Power Project (III) of WBPDCL are funded by the OECF. The issue of extending the deemed export benefits for supply of goods to the above stated projects, subsequent to the closure of OECF assistance has been considered in consultation with Ministry of Finance and it has been decided that deemed export benefits as given under Paragraph 10.3 of the Exim Policy shall be available for supply of goods to the above stated projects, pending availability of OECF assistance.
3. The deemed export benefits for these projects would be subject to the conditions that in case OECF assistance for the 2nd/subsequent tranche does not materialize, respective project authority would fully reimburse all the deemed export benefits to the Government of India.
4. This issues in the public interest.
