SCN Adjudication Authority – Notification No. 29/2025-Customs (N.T.)

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), under the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 29/2025-Customs (N.T.) on April 24, 2025. The notification appoints officers to handle the adjudication of show-cause notices (SCNs) as detailed in Annexures I to VII. It specifies the officers in column (3) of the table who will exercise the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Customs, Nhava Sheva–V, Mumbai Customs Zone–II, for adjudicating the notices listed in the annexures. The notification includes a table that matches each annexure (containing a specific number of SCNs) with the designated adjudicating authority, specifying their title and office location. The annexures list the names of the main noticees and their respective Show Cause Notice numbers and dates. S.O. 1876(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 read with section 3 and sub-sections (1) and (1A) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), hereby appoints the officers, as mentioned in column (3) of the Table below, to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred upon or imposed on the Commissioner of Customs, Nhava Sheva–V, Mumbai Customs Zone–II, for the purpose of adjudication of the notices listed in Annexures I to VII of the Schedule to this notification, as specified in column (2) of the said Table, namely:-
