Subject:- AEO programme digitization – Ease of doing business- Dispensing with physical submission of documents for AEO applications-Reg.

Kind attention of all the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to the CBIC Circular No. 51/2018-Customs dated 07.12.2018, Circular No. 13/2021-Customs dated 01.07.2021 and Circular No. 10/2023-Customs dated 11.04.2023 with regard to filling of AEO-T1, AEO-T2 & AEO-T3 and AEO-LO applications respectively.

2. Web-based portal for filing and processing of AEO-T1 and AEO- T2/T3 has been functional since December 2018 and July 2021 respectively. Now, Version (V 3.0) has been made functional since 11.04.2023 for online filing, real-time monitoring, and digital certification for AEO-LO applicants.

3. On Version (V 2.0) and (V 3.0), once the relevant annexures are uploaded by the applicant, the applicant will be able to monitor the processing of their application at each stage in real time on their dashboard. In addition, in case of any deficiency in the application, the same can be responded through online upload of required additional documents by the applicant on the web application itself.

4. A step wise guide for filing of AEO T-1, T2, T3 and AEO-LO application by the applicant is available on the CBIC website under the “Indian AEO Programme” section at the following URL haps: /cbic.gov.in/htdocs-cbec/home links/india-aeo-prgm. The guide is also available at aeoindia.gov.in under the “Download” section.

5. Keeping in line with the target of digitization, it has been decided to dispense with the practice of physical submission of documents. Accordingly, the capacity for uploading the documents has been enhanced to facilitate the trade, in line with the Government’s Digital India initiative.

6. Now, it will be mandatory for all AEO applicants to register on the portal for AEO certification and to submit the requisite documents/annexures on online platform. All stake holders are requested to make use of the online platform for filing of AEO T-1, T2, T3 and AEO-LO application with immediate effect. Further, all AEO-LO applications received manually before 25.05.2023 may be processed as per the aforesaid Circular dated 11.04.2023.

7. The Circular 33/2016-customs dated 22-07-2016 as amended stands suitably modified to this effect.

8. This Public Notice should be considered as Standing Order for the purpose of officers and staff of AEO Cell, NS – III, JNCH.

9. In case of any Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner of Customs, AEO Cell, NS-III, JNCH, Nhava Sheva-400707(mail-id: aeocell.jnch@gov.in).
