The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has issued a notification dated January 5, 2026, reconstituting the Pension Advisory Committee under Section 45(1) of the PFRDA Act, 2013, read with Regulation 6(4) of the Pension Advisory Committee Meetings Regulations, 2015. The reconstitution supersedes the earlier committee notified on May 19, 2022, and takes effect from the date of the notification. The newly constituted committee comprises senior representatives from key central and state government departments, public institutions, pension fund managers, industry bodies, and subject-matter experts, including officials from the Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Finance, Department of Posts, Defence Finance, state finance departments, Indian Banks’ Association, NPS Trust, leading pension fund management companies, actuarial and financial market institutions, and independent experts. The Chairperson and Members of the Authority will serve as ex officio Chairperson and members of the Committee, ensuring regulatory oversight and expert advisory support on pension-related matters.
