The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, in a notification dated August 27, 2025, announced the appointments of several officers to the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA). Exercising its authority under the Companies Act, 2013, the Central Government appointed Shri Nitin Gupta as the Chairperson. Additionally, Smt. Smita Jhingran, Shri P. Daniel, and Shri Sushil Kumar Jaiswal were appointed as Full-Time Members. These appointments are effective from July 23, 2025, and are for a three-year term or until the appointee reaches the age of sixty-five, whichever comes first. The terms and conditions of their service will be governed by the National Financial Reporting Authority Rules, 2018.

S.O. 3975(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 132 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government, hereby appoints the following officers in the National Financial Reporting Authority, with effect from the 23rd July, 2025 (forenoon), the date on which they enter into their office, for a period of three years or till the incumbent attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier:
(1) Shri Nitin Gupta, Chairperson;
(2) Smita Jhingran, Full-Time Member;
(3) Shri P. Daniel, Full-Time Member;
(4) Shri Sushil Kumar Jaiswal, Full-Time Member.
2. The terms and conditions of service of the above officers in the National Financial Reporting Authority shall be governed by the National Financial Reporting Authority (Manner of Appointment and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members) Rules, 2018.
