Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), in its 315th and 316th Council meetings held in March 2025, announced several initiatives for students and members. Key decisions include the preparation of Executive Programme study material in Hindi, alongside English, and the celebration of Panchayat Governance Week. Free online masterclasses on vital topics under the 2022 syllabus for CS Executive and Professional Programme students were approved to support exam preparation. ICSI will also form Debating Societies at all Regional Offices and Chapters (excluding Evolving Chapters) for both students and members, including those at the CCGRTs. Students with at least three years of work experience or those qualified as CA, CMA, Advocates, government employees (including armed forces), or differently abled can now choose between physical or online modes for their TDOP sessions. Additionally, from April 1, 2025, revised entitlements for trainers registered to provide long-term practical training to CS students will take effect, with no retrospective changes. Lastly, the Institute approved the launch of a new Capacity Building Programme focused on Direct Tax for its members. These measures aim to expand learning accessibility and enhance member and student engagement.
