ICAI Notifications: New Branches and Detachments, Sept 2023

• A new branch of the Central India Regional Council has been set up in Rajsamand District, Rajasthan.
• The branch is named “Rajsamand District Branch of Central India Regional Council.”
• Its jurisdiction includes various places within the Rajsamand District.
• This branch will operate under the supervision and control of the Council through the Central India Regional Council.
• Effective from August 14, 2023.

Notification No. 1-CA (7)/210/2023: Setting up of Mandsaur District Branch of Central India Regional Council

• Another branch of the Central India Regional Council has been established in Mandsaur District, Madhya Pradesh.
• The branch is named “Mandsaur District Branch of Central India Regional Council.”
• Similar to the previous notification, it will operate under the control of the Council through the Central India Regional Council.
• Effective from August 14, 2023.

Notification No. 1-CA (7)/211/2023: Detachment of Muzaffarpur from Patna Branch of Central India Regional Council

• This notification pertains to the detachment of Muzaffarpur from the jurisdiction of the Patna Branch of Central India Regional Council.
• This detachment is effective from August 14, 2023.

Notification No. 1-CA (7)/212/2023: Detachment of Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha, and Amloh from Ludhiana Branch of Northern India Regional Council

• The Council has decided to detach the cities of Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha, and Amloh from the jurisdiction of the Ludhiana Branch of the Northern India Regional Council.
• This detachment is effective from August 14, 2023.

Notification No. 1-CA (7)/213/2023: Setting up of Mandi Gobindgarh Branch of Northern India Regional Council

• A new branch of the Northern India Regional Council has been established in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab.
• The branch is named “Mandi Gobindgarh Branch of Northern India Regional Council.”
• The jurisdiction of this branch includes various cities/towns within a 50 km radius from the municipal limits of Mandi Gobindgarh.
• It will operate under the control of the Council through the Northern India Regional Council.
• Effective from August 14, 2023.

These notifications essentially detail the expansion and restructuring of regional branches of ICAI, both in terms of setting up new branches and detaching specific areas from existing branches. These changes aim to streamline the administrative and geographical reach of the organization.

No. 1-CA (7)/209/2023.—In pursuance of the Regulation 159 (1A) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify the setting up of a Branch of Central India Regional Council in Rajsamand District (Rajasthan) with effect from August 14, 2023.

The Branch shall be known as Rajsamand District Branch of Central India Regional Council and its Head Quarter shall be at Rajsamand. The Jurisdiction of the Branch besides the following Places shall cover whole District of Rajsamand:-

1. Rajsamand

2. Amet

3. Bhim

4. Delwara

5. Deogarth

6. Garhbor

7. Khamnor

8. Kumbhalgarh

9. Kunwariya

10. Nathdwara

The Branch shall be known as Mandsaur District Branch of Central India Regional Council and its Head Quarter shall be at Mandsaur. The Jurisdiction of the Branch besides the following Places shall cover whole District of Mandsaur:-

No. 1-CA (7)/211/2023.—Whereas the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India vide notification no. 28-RC (4)/8/82 dated 20^th September 1982 w.e.f 13^th September 1982 had set up a Branch of Central India Regional Council at Patna under Regulation 136(1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1964.

Now in partial modification of the aforesaid notification, the Council of the Institute hereby notify the detachment of Muzaffarpur from the Jurisdiction of Patna Branch of CIRC of ICAI.

The effective date of detachment of Muzaffarpur (Bihar) from the Jurisdiction of Patna Branch of CIRC of ICAI will be August 14th,2023.

(72)/74 dated 17^th September 1974 w.e.f 10^th September 1974 had set up a Branch of Northern India Regional Council at Ludhiana under Regulation 136(2) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1964.

Now in partial modification of the aforesaid notification, the Council of the Institute hereby notify the detachment of Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha and Amloh from the Jurisdiction of Ludhiana Branch of NIRC of ICAI.

The effective date of detachment of Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha and Amloh from the Jurisdiction of Ludhiana Branch of NIRC of ICAI will be August 14,2023.
