In view of setting up of polling booth(s) in T.P.S. College, Chirraiya Tand, Patna – 800 001 for election to the Patna Municipal Corporation on 17th May, 2012, the Chartered Accountants Final Examination (Paper 8) and the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Examination (Module 4) scheduled for 17th May, 2012 will now be held in Christ Church Diocesan School, Collectorate Road, Near Gandhi Maidan, Patna – 800 001 [in place of at the T.P.S. College]. The Examination timing shall remain the same, viz. 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM (IST), and the Admit Cards already issued to the candidates will be valid for the new venue also.
It has been decided by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to mandate the cost auditors and the companies to file Cost Audit Reports (Form-I) and Compliance Reports (Form-A) for the year 2011-12 onwards (including the overdue reports relating to any previous year) in XBRL mode.

Since any amendment coming into force before six months from the date of exam ination forms part of syllabus for examination, the new Schedule VI of the Companies Act, 1956 shall be applicable to June, 2012 exam ination.
The government today said accounting regulator ICAI has found irregularities in the operations of certain multinational audit firms in the country. The high-power committee appointed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for examining the operation of Multinational Network Accounting Firms (MAFs) has found the irregularities, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs R P N Sigh said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
Enquires are being received as to whether the examination for the Paper – 4 of Professional Competence Examination (PCE) and Paper – 3 of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE) Cost Accounting and Financial Management which is scheduled to be held on 8th May, 2012 has been postponed or not.
