REPORTING FORMATS UNDER CLAUSE 3.2 OF MASTER CIRCULAR 2010 ON AML/CFT GUIDELINES
CIRCULAR NO. IRDA/F&I/CIR/AML/145/07/2011, DATED 4-7-2011
Attention is drawn to clause 3.2 of the Master Circular 2010 on AML/CFT guidelines wherein Reporting obligations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and the Rules framed thereunder are stipulated to the insurance companies.
2. FIU-IND has formulated new XML file format for reporting purposes which can be accessed at the ‘Downloads’ section of the FIU-IND website at (http://fiuindia.gov.in).
3. Insurers are advised to download the revised formats and initiate necessary steps to build capacities to generate required reports. Any difficulty in implementing and reporting of the new formats may be taken up with FIU-IND.
4. FIU-IND would communicate the effective date of use of the formats separately.
