As students are aware, the matter relating to extending the facility of appearance in the final examination during the last 12 months of their articleship training by students who originally registered themselves for the Professional Education – II (PE-II) course as well as those who converted themselves from PE-II to Professional Competence Course (PCC)/Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
Students who have initially registered for Professional Education (Course II) and passed one of the groups in Professional Education (Examination II) can commence their articled training on successful completion of Information Technology Training (ITT)
We are glad to inform that the Council at its 297th meeting held in August, 2010 decided to simplify eligibility requirement s for Final Examination to mitigate the hardship being faced by the students of various streams i.e. Intermediate/ PE -II /PCC /IPCC students and passed the resolution under Regulation 205 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988
Accordingly, PE-II students who shifted to PCC or to PCC and then to IPCC or to IPCC shall be allowed to take the Final examination during the last 12 months of their prescribed period of articled training. Students, who remained in PE-II stream and passed examination will continue to undergo 3 years articled training and will be eligible to appear in the Final examination during the last 12 months of their articled training.
The Students who wish to apply for Verification of their answer books for the Chartered Accountants Examination held in May, 2010, CPT held on June 20, 2010 and CPT Online held on July 24-25, 2010 are requested to note and follow the procedure as detailed below:
# The fee for verification of answer books is Rs. 100/- per paper subject to a maximum of Rs. 400/- for all the papers of a group/ both groups.The application essentially in the candidate’s own handwriting indicating Roll No., address, and paper(s) to be verified should be submitted within a month from the date of declaration of result.
For students appearing in May 2010 and November 2010 examinations, the amendments made by the Finance (No.2) Act, 2009, as applicable for assessment year 2010-11 are relevant. Therefore, the amendments made by the Finance (No.2) Act, 2009 which are not applicable for A.Y.2010-11 would not be relevant for students appearing for May 2010 and November 2010 examinations.
ICAI The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. ICAI conducts various examinations for take admission into various Accountancy Courses. ICAI Admit Card 2010 is available for C.A. Final, Final (New Course), PE-II, PCE, IPCE/ATC Examinations.
Consequent to abolition of fringe benefit tax, certain benefits taxed earlier as fringe benefits in the hands of the employer would now be taxable as perquisites in the hands of the employees. For this purpose, new perquisite valuation rules have been notified vide Notification No.94/2009/ F.No.142/25/2009-S.O.(TPL), dated 18.12.2009 with retrospective effect from 1.4.2009. However, the new perquisite valuation rules would be applicable only for November 2010 examination. They would not be applicable for May 2010 examination, since only notifications/circulars issued up to 31st October, 2009 are relevant for May 2010 examination.
