(EMPLOYEES’ SERVICE) (SECOND AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2016
No. SEBI/LAD/NRO/GN/2016-17/024.─In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees’ Service) Regulations, 2001, namely,–
1. These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees’ Service) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2016.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Employees’ Service) Regulations, 2001,-
(I) in regulation 6, in sub-regulation (4), in clause (c),-
(a) in the proviso, for the symbol “.”, the symbol “:” shall be substituted;
(b) after the proviso, the following shall be inserted,-
“Provided further that interview and/or group discussion shall not be conducted for the purpose of recruitment of whole time employees other than officers.”
(II) In Schedule to clause (b) of sub- regulation (4) of regulation 6, in rows 4 to 15,-
(a) after the words “Direct Recruitment” wherever appearing, the words “only through written examination” shall be inserted;
(b) the words and symbol “Minimum three members- two internal and one external” wherever appearing shall be omitted.
