HUMBLE REPRESENTATION

Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman,
Honorable Union Finance Minister,
Government of India,
New Delhi

Sub : Request for extension of due date for filing audited Income Tax Returns for AY 2019-20 to 30th November, 2019

Hon’ble Madam,

As is well known, we, the Professional Accountants, being the base bone of nation’s economy, are, in these days, busy in preparing, matching, compiling and reconciling of data/reports related to tax audits of accounts concerned with trade-houses, companies and manufacturing sectors.

We have no hitch in appreciating the efforts of Union Government in making all procedures as Tax Assesses friendly. The Union Govt. has ever been cooperative to the tax payers and the professionals as well.

But in these days, we are facing a lot of hardship in preparing and reconciling auditable data/reports. We are under acute mental pressure, as the department has made available utilities regarding Income Tax Returns on 12th September, 2019 only and the last date of uploading audited reports is notified to be on or before 30th September, 2019. Such delay in apprising utilities create great problems for tax payers and the professionals. It hampers the process of preparing/re-preparing reports, uploading and filing audited returns by stake holders.

Moreover, finalization of statutory and tax audit includes compilation and reconciliation of GST paid, ITC availed/utilised, which is a long and a time consuming process. Many errors made by dealers in FY 2017-18 are to be rectified in FY 2018-19, which are under audit.

Under such an immense mental pressure, it has become much difficult in compliance of filing tax audits and uploading audited returns. If preparing, compiling and reconciling correct tax data is required, we need sufficient time.

Therefore, it is our earnest request to please be kind enough and extend due date for uploading and filing audited tax reports by Assesses till 30th November, 2019. We, the Professional Accountants shall be highly obliged.

For The Punjab Accountants Association

(Dharminder Sikka)
President

(Varinder K. Sharma)
General Secretary

c.c. to : Shri Pramod Chandra Mody,

Chairman, CBDT, New Delhi

– with humble request to look into the matter sympathetically and to take necessary action.

My father is tax practioner. Before GST we had very happy life. But, after GST he was living under extraordinary stress. And finally he got heart attack before 7 days. And done angioplasty. Now, in ICU – still he
is asking me TAX AUDIT date extended ?
    GST annual return suspended ?
This is the scene of almost all practioners.
I hate this Government. They have made
our life miserable. Before, too late they must realize that health of practioner is directly affecting economic health of country. But this government is too arrogant to accept their blunders of clamping GST without planning. Mr. Modi.
I want to ask you – my dad voted for to get in ICU ? I am going to convince my father to give up this line now

KINDLY DO PASS ORDER EXTENDING DATE URGENTLY AND QUICKLY AS PRESSURE IS CONSUMING TOO MUCH MENTAL ENERGY
