The Department of Posts (DOP) has introduced a new feature allowing Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) depositors who use internet banking to download their interest certificates online. This facility, implemented via a patch deployed on April 30, 2025, enables customers to access interest certificates for both the previous and current financial years directly through the DOP Internet Banking portal. Previously, an Standard Operating Procedure for generating these certificates at post office branches was issued in November 2021. With this update, internet banking users can now obtain their interest certificates by logging into their account and selecting the “Interest Certificate” option under the “Accounts” tab, removing the need to visit a post office for this document. Circles and regions are requested to disseminate this information and encourage the use of this online functionality and internet banking among customers.
