Subject : Stainless circles are clarified under 72.19 or 72.22
I am directed to enclose herewith Corrigendum dated the 8th September, 1994.
2. This corrigendum seeks to correct certain clerical mistake in Notification No.106/94-CE dated the 4th May, 1994.
3. Notification No.106/94-CE dated the 4th May, 1994 issued under GSR 432 E amends a number of notifications. Notification No.40/94-CE dated the 1st March 1994 is one such notification which was amended. In the amendment notification No.40/94-CE effected through SNo.1 of the table to Notification No.106/94-CE, the heading No. of stainless steel circles has been wrongly typed as “72.22”. The corrigendum seeks to correct this mistake by substituting “72.19” or “72.20” for “72.22”. In the Hindi version of GSR 432 E, the heading has been printed as “72.20”. This has been corrected as “72.19” or “72.20”.

G.S.R. 684 (E) – In the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 106/94-Central Excises dated 4th May, 1994, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub section (i), dated the 4th May, 1994 under G.S.R. No. 432 (L) dated the 4th May, 1994 at page 7, in the table, against S.No.1 relating to notification no.40/90 – Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1994, under the column “Amendment”, in column (1), against “8”, for “72.20” read “72.19” or “72.20”.
