PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 67 / 2002-2007

NEW DELHI , THE 4th March, 2003.

Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 0703(a) regarding Onions ( all varieties other than Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram Onions) in Table B of Schedule 2 in the book titled ” ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2002 -2007″

2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraphs 2.4 and 2.29 of the Export & Import Policy, 2002-2007 , the Director General of Foreign Trade has decided to release a further additional quota for export of onion for the year 2002-03 for export upto 31.3.2003 to the following agencies:

i) Spices Trading Corporation Ltd., ( STCL) – 15,000MTs

(ii) The Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing

Federation Ltd.,( KSCMF) – 3,000MTs

3. The additional quota so released now would stand re-allocated from the unutilized quota of National Agricultural Co-operatative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED).

4. The above export will be subject to general conditions laid down in Notification No. 9(RE-2002)/2002-2007 dated 28.6.2002.

5. This issues in Public interest.
