The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) issued Public Notice No. 53 (RE-99)/1997-2002 on 1st March 2000, announcing an extension of deadlines related to applications for Export House, Trading House, Star Trading House, Super Star Trading House, Service Export House, and their international equivalents. Initially set for 31st December 1999, the deadline for filing these applications has been extended to 15th March 2000. Additionally, the deadline for notifying applicants of deficiencies is extended to 22nd March 2000, and the timeline for applicants to rectify deficiencies is extended to 31st March 2000. These changes, which amend paragraph 12.2(a) of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), aim to provide additional time for compliance and streamline the application process. Issued by the DGFT in public interest, the notice seeks to address procedural requirements and ensure uniformity.

NEW DELHI: the 1st March, 2000

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 – Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-99), 1997-2002.

The last date for filing of application as an Export House, Trading House, Star Trading House, Super Star Trading House, Service Export House, International Service Export House, International Star Service Export House International Super Star Service Export House in terms of paragraph 12.2(a), as amended by public notice no. 43(RE-99) dated 15.12.99 shall be extended from 31.12.99 to 15th March, 2000. The last date for communication of deficiency stands extended from 15.1.2000 to 22nd March, 2000 and the rectification of deficiency by the applicant to the licensing authority stands extended from 31st January, 2000 to 31st March, 2000.
