Subject: EGM related errors – Amendment of No. of container mismatch & container no. mismatch in EGM filed at ICDs – reg.
Attention of all exporters, their agents, export promotion councils and shipping lines is invited to the fact that in a number of cases of exports through ICDs, IGST refund could not be granted due to EGM related errors (SB006).
2. On scrutiny, it has been observed that had there been proper coordination between ICDs, Gateway Port and shipping lines, such errors would not have come into existence. The following EGM Errors are occurring under code (SB006):
M – Gateway Port code given in truck summary different from actual gateway port,
N – No. Of Container Mismatch
C – Container No. Mismatch
T – Nature of Cargo Mismatch
L – LEO Date > Sailing Date
3. With respect to ‘N and C’ errors, a list of all ICD shipping bills exported through JNPT is being made available on JNCH website. The exporters/their agents whose IGST refunds have not been scrolled out due to ‘N and C’ errors code ‘SB006’ may approach the EGM Coordination Cell at JNCH along with copies of bill of lading, invoice, packing list and shipping bill for verification at the EGM Coordination Cell, JNCH. On verification, the necessary amendment in the system shall be made. The shipping lines, thereafter, would have to file the supplementary EGMs for successful integration.
Difficulties if any, in the implementation should be brought to the notice of the undersigned immediately.
