Summary: The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through Notification No. 35/2026-27 dated 24th August 2026, has amended the export policy of wheat under Schedule 2 of the ITC (HS) Export Policy. Exercising powers under Section 5 read with Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government revised the export policy for ITC (HS) Code 10011900, covering Durum Wheat: Other, and ITC (HS) Code 10019910, covering Wheat, from “Prohibited” to “Free”. The notification states that the revised export policy for these products/items shall apply with immediate effect. This represents a change from the earlier restricted position for the specified wheat categories. Subject: Amendment in the Export Policy of Wheat — regarding.
S.O. (E).— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Export Policy of Wheat under Schedule 2 of the ITC (HS) Export Policy:
