DGFT amends import policy conditions for imports of various chemicals

The notification amends the policy conditions for imports of various chemicals in Chapters 29. 38 and 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule — I (Import Policy).

a. Importers of chemicals specified at S. Nos. 1 to 15 needs to submit a copy of the Bill of Entry within 30 days to the Ozone Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi.

b. For S. No. 4, Import of HCFC-I 4 lb is prohibited except for feedstock application.

c. For S. Nos. 16 to 18, Import of pre-blended polyol containing Group VI substances, including HCFC-­141B, is not permitted as per Ozone Depleting Substances (Regulation and Control) Amendment Rules, 2014.

This issues with approval of Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Subject: Amendment in import policy conditions under Chapters 29, 38 and 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule – I (Import Policy).

S.O. 2705(E)— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (1)&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import policy conditions of ITC (I IS), 2017, Schedule I (Import Policy).

Schedule I (Import Policy)

2. A new import Policy Condition is added in Chapter 29 and 38 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule — I (Import Policy) as Policy Condition 4 and 5 respectively:

The Importer shall, for, each import consignment, submit a copy of the Bill of Entry within 30 days to the Ozone Cell, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi.

3. Effect of the Notification: The notification amends the policy conditions for imports of various chemicals in Chapters 29. 38 and 39 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule — I (Import Policy).
