CBEC has announced the new exchange rates for imports with effect from 10th October 2012. For export, there is no change.

(E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise & Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 91/2012-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated the 4th October, 2012 published in the Gazette Of India, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-Section (ii), Extraordinary vide number S. O. 2360(E) dated, the 4th October, 2012, namely:-
In the SCHEDULE-I of the said Notification, for Serial No. 13 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

CORRIGENDUM
Dated the 10th October, 2012

(E). – In the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 93/2012-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated the 9th October, 2012 published in the Gazette Of India, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-Section (ii), Extraordinary, vide number S.O. 2395(E) dated, the 9th October, 2012, the rate for export goods in S.No.13, Column (3) Part (b) should be read as “5.75” instead of “6.05 (i.e. no change)”.
