Seeks to further amend notification No. 148/1994-Customs dated the 13th July, 1994 to exempt wool, woollen fabrics and apparels received as gifts by the Indian Red Cross Society vide Notification No. 04/2020-Customs dated 2nd February, 2020.

Notification No. 04/2020-Customs

New Delhi, the 2nd February, 2020

G.S.R. 64(E).—. – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and sub-section (7) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.148/1994-Customs, dated the 13th July, 1994 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 577 (E), dated the 13th July, 1994, namely: –

In the said notification, in the Table, after S. No. 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely,-

(1) (2) (3)
“2A. Wool,     Woollen     Fabrics    and     Woollen apparels received as gifts by the Indian Red Cross Society -”.

Note: The principal notification No. 148/1994-Customs, dated the 13th July, 1994 was published vide number G.S.R. 577 (E), dated the 13th July, 1994 and last amended by notification No. 43/2017-Customs dated the 30th June, 2017 published vide number G.S.R.778 (E), dated the 30th June, 2017.
