NOTIFICATION NO. S.O. 29(E),

DATED 7-1-2011

Whereas M/s. Omnibus Industrial Development Corporation of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Kharadpada, Naroli in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli;

And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, has notified and area of 12.81 hectares at the above location as Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry notification number S.O.2134(E), dated the 18th August, 2009, comprising the following survey number and area as given below with the table :—

And whereas, M/s. Omnibus Industrial Development Corporation of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Limited, had proposed to denotify the entire area of 12.81 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for denotification of above area on 25th November, 2010;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
