The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued an order dated 28 January 2026 reconstituting the Reinsurance Advisory Committee (RAC) under Section 101B of the Insurance Act, 1938. The committee has been formed with immediate effect and will serve a three-year tenure. It will be chaired by a former CMD of a public sector insurer, with members comprising former senior executives from insurance, reinsurance broking, and regulatory backgrounds. The Deputy General Manager (Reinsurance) will act as the Secretary to the committee. The reconstitution has been approved by the competent authority and is intended to strengthen advisory support on reinsurance-related matters.

Re: Reconstitution of Reinsurance Advisory Committee
As per provisions under Section 101 B of the Insurance Act, 1938, the Authority hereby reconstitutes the Reinsurance Advisory Committee (RAC) with the Chairman and Members as mentioned below:
