Summary: PFRDA, through Circular No. PFRDA/2026/43/P&DCORP/02 dated August 18, 2026, has extended the ₹100 onboarding incentive under the NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model for FY 2026-27, valid for enrollments up to March 31, 2027. The framework was introduced through PFRDA Circular No. PFRDA/2025/19/PDES/02 dated October 29, 2025, to offer structured retirement benefits and social security to gig and platform economy workers through online aggregators. The earlier incentive of up to ₹100 per new account onboarded was applicable to platform Service Partners registered till March 31, 2026. PFRDA has now extended the same ₹100 onboarding incentive benefit for FY 2026-27, while all other stipulations and conditions of the October 29, 2025 circular remain unchanged and in force. The circular states that the extension is intended to expand comprehensive old age income security through digital ecosystem adoption and seamless onboarding and is issued under Section 14 of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013.

Subject: Extension of Incentive Framework under National Pension System (NPS)– “NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model” for FY 2026-27
1. Kindly refer to the PFRDA Circular No: PFRDA/2025/19/PDES/02 dated 29th October 2025 regarding the introduction of the “NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model”. The framework was launched to offer structured retirement benefits and social security to gig and platform economy workers through online aggregators.
2. Reference is invited to point no 6 Incentive Framework under NPS, “wherein it has been to encourage PoPs to actively build systems, create awareness, and educate platform Service Partners, PFRDA shall provide an incentive of upto ₹100 per new account on-boarded under this model.” The incentive framework for PoPs was applicable for platform Service Partners registered till 31st March 2026 under NPS e-shramik (Platform Service Partner) Model.
3. With the objective of expanding comprehensive old age income security to the Platform service partners through digital ecosystem adoption and seamless onboarding the Authority has decided to extend the ₹100 onboarding incentive benefit (as mentioned in the aforesaid circular) to the Financial Year (FY) 2026-27 (valid for enrollments up to 31st March 2027).All other stipulations and conditions as mentioned in PFRDA Circular dated 29th October 2025 shall remain completely unchanged and in force.
4. This circular is being issued in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013.
