Dear friends, in continuation of my earlier articles related to beneficial schemes for NGO’s and other corporates in India, in this article I am going to explain about one more opportunity for NGO and other business organisation, which is prime requirement for getting projects under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GLY) is Permanent Registration Number (PRN Registration)

Now, first question in our mind is “What is PRN Registration?”

PRN (Permanent Registration Number) is a unique number which is allotted by DDU- GKY Division, Ministry of Rural Development. PRN is the Prime requirement before submission of any project DDU-GKY/ Roshini/ Himayat Projects under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY).

Now, second question in our mind is “Who is eligible for allotment of this PRN?”

Any organisation except Partnership/ Proprietorship Firm can apply for PRN registration. Even a newly registered organisation can apply for PRN registration, however they are eligible to file project submission only after completion of 3 Years of their incorporation.

Following Documents/ Details are Mandatory for getting PRN Registration

  • Original PAN Card of Organisation
  • Registration/ Incorporation Certificate
  • TAN Number of the organisation
  • Working website of the organisation
  • Building Photo of the Organisation
  • Niti Aayog Registration in case of NGO/Society/Trust

Along with above mentioned details, governing body members details are also required which are as follows:

  • PAN Card
  • Aadhar Card
  • Mail id And Mobile Number
  • Passport Copy/ Driving License Copy
  • Personal Resume of Authorised Person
  • Photo of Authorised Person

When we register on the website then we will receive TRN number which must be used for further correspondence with department until PRN Number is allotted to organisation.

While allotting PRN Number to the organisation, detail verification of documents is done by authority, due to which a large number of applications is rejected by department. As per concerned ministry website, statistics for allotment of PRN number is as follows, which shown very less organisation are allotted PRN Number.

From above statistics, it is supposed that, we must take proper care of required details while filing PRN Registration request.

Benefits of PRN (Permanent Registration Number)

As explained earlier, it is mandatory to get PRN registration before submission of any project DDU-GKY/ Roshini/ Himayat Projects under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). If your organisation meets the above-mentioned criteria for PRN Registration and willing to apply for projects run by DDU-GKY then you can register under this Ministry.
