Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through a notification dated June 18, 2025 (S.O. 2729(E)), has designated specific courts as Special Courts. This action, taken under the powers granted by Section 435 of the Companies Act, 2013, and with the agreement of the Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, aims to facilitate the speedy trial of offenses as outlined in clause (b) of sub-section (2) of Section 435 of the Act. The designated courts include the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate or Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, SAS Nagar, for the State of Punjab; the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate or Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gurugram, for the State of Haryana; and the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh, for the Union Territory of Chandigarh. These designations are intended to streamline the legal process for corporate offenses in these regions.

S.O. 2729(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 435 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government, with the concurrence of the Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, hereby designates the Court mentioned in column (2) of the Table below as Special Courts for the purposes of providing speedy trial of offences under clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 435 of the said Act, namely: —
