The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the schedule for Mock Test Paper Series I and II for CA Intermediate students appearing in the May 2025 examinations. Series I is set to begin on March 8, 2025, while Series II will commence on March 26, 2025. The tests will be conducted in both physical and virtual modes, allowing students to choose their preferred format. Those opting for the physical mode can approach the ICAI branches in their respective areas.

The mock tests will cover six subjects, including Advanced Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, Taxation, Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing and Ethics, and Financial Management & Strategic Management. The question papers will be available for download on the ICAI Board of Studies (BoS) Knowledge Portal at www.icai.org by 9:30 AM on the scheduled dates. Students must attempt the papers within the designated time limit, and answer keys will be uploaded within 48 hours for self-assessment.

ICAI’s initiative aims to help students familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and assess their preparedness. Judicial precedents emphasize the importance of structured examination processes in professional courses. Courts have upheld ICAI’s regulatory role in maintaining examination standards, as seen in cases like ICAI v. Mukesh R. Shah (2018), where the Supreme Court upheld ICAI’s authority in conducting examinations and setting evaluation criteria. The mock tests form an essential part of this process, ensuring transparency and academic preparedness.

Students can register for the mock tests via the BoS Activities Portal at https://bosactivities.icai.org/. Additional resources, including past papers and study materials, are accessible through the ICAI BOS App. For further assistance, students may contact their respective ICAI regional councils or branch offices.
