In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2004 – 2009, as amended.
Amendments in DEPB rates and export item descriptions under various product groups as per Public Notice No. 3/2004-09 dated 14.09.2004.
Public Notice 2/2004-09 issued on 13th Sept 2004, detailing corrections in the Foreign Trade Handbook and updates on export/import procedures.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby notifies Schedule 2 (Export Policy) of the “ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.2 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Central Government hereby notifies the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 as contained in Annexure to this notification. The Policy shall come into force from 1st September, 2004.
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the Handbook of Procedures (Volume 1) as contained in Annexure to this Public Notice and the Appendices to the Handbook of Procedures (Volume 1) as available on the website of Directorate General of Foreign Trade at http://dgft.delhi.nic.in. A number of representations were being received from the various associations of marble manufacturers/processors for review of the import entitlement of rough marble blocks/slabs. This matter has been considered in detail and decided to allow 50% import of the rough marble blocks of the total imports of rough marble blocks / slabs made during the two years’ period (i.e. 1999-00 & 2000-01), when this item was under SIL.
