Background of the Case: Pearlite Real Properties Pvt. Ltd., involved in executing the “Godrej 24” project, was previously investigated by the Director General of Anti-Profiteering (DGAP). The DGAP’s initial report had accused the company of profiteering an amount of Rs. 6,89,62,698. This led to the National Anti-profiteering Authority’s (NAA) directive to pass on the benefit to the home-buyers.
