CCI drops Anti-Profiteering proceeding against Bhagwati Infra

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has received a report from the Director General of Anti-Profiteering (DGAP) regarding a detailed investigation into Bhagwati Infra concerning allegations of profiteering.

Analysis:

Initial Allegations and Investigation: The DGAP initially reported that Bhagwati Infra had profiteered an amount of Rs. 1,56,77,149/- in the “Bhagwati Eminence” project, and the NAA had ordered the benefit to be passed on to the home-buyers.

Further Investigation into Other Projects: Upon suspicion of similar contraventions in other projects by the Respondent, the NAA directed the DGAP to conduct a further investigation.
