Notification No.  24/2015-2020-DGFT

New Delhi, Dated: 11th October, 2019

Subject: Amendment in import policy of Indian National Flag.

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby introduces a new Para 18 to General Notes regarding Import Policy and as policy condition No. 1 of Chapter 63 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule – I (Import Policy):

“Import of Indian National Flag not adhering to the specifications prescribed under Part I, Section 1.2 of Flag Code of India, 2002 is Prohibited.”

Effect of the Notification: Import of Indian National Flag not adhering to the specifications prescribed under Part – I, Section 1.2 of Flag Code of India, 2002 is Prohibited.

This issues with the approval of Minister of Commerce & Industry.
