Income Tax department on 20.05.2011 releases official downloadable Online Income Tax Return Preparation / Filing Software- ITR-4 and ITR 4-5 Applicable for Assessment year 2011-12 / Financial Year 2010-11. Income Tax Department has already released software in repsct of IT -1, ITr-2 and ITR-3 and link for the same is as follows:-.

Schedule S of ITR 4 couldn’t be found in the downloaded E File form. I had to download the normal version of the form to confirm it was there. After several hours of searching on the net I almost gave up till I found the clue in your site. Thank you very much. God knows howmany manhours were wasted because the IT department forgot to index this schedule and I bet half the people would not have scrolled down to find it in some other Schedule.

pl see at part B TI TTI, go to below verification, you can find schedule S (for salary).
The ITR4 Excel Preparation Utility on The Income Tax Website Does not Have Schedule S? ( This is for Salary Income). Without this, the form can not be completed.
Pls advise?
