DGFT has always endeavoured to promote ease of doing business by providing online mode for submission of applications for various FTP schemes and digital payment for these applications. Still, there are applications like amendment of license, payment of composition fee etc. where facility of online payment is not available.
Information on details of shipping bills in cases where exporters who have inadvertently ticked (for No) instead of (for Yes) in Reward column of shipping bills while filing the EDI shipping bills, but have declared the intent in the affirmative (in wordings) in the shipping bill
It has come to notice of this Directorate that when exporters login into DGFT System for MEIS application, sometimes Shipping Bill data is not found available in DGFT System. It takes considerable time to get the SB data available in DGFT System and, therefore, availing of FTP benefits, like MEIS, by exporter is delayed.
It has come to the notice of this Directorate that importers who apply for authorization for import of restricted items are submitting their applications at the concerned Regional Authority of DGFT without paying the application fee at the time of submission of application.

Till now, around 40,000 MT has already been imported from Mozambique. Accordingly, only 85,000 MT is to be imported further. The remaining quantity will be allowed for import subject to following conditions:
The Customs vide Notification No. 74/2017-Customs dated 7.9.2017 had in their notification noted that import of raw sugar under this scheme was to be completed within 60 days from the date of issue of TRQ allocation certificate or the license by DGFT to the importer.
Representations have been received indicating that some firms have entered into contracts prior to 21.8.2017 for import of moong / urad dal with either (i) advance payment, or (ii) some advance payment and rest amount payable in Cash against Documents (CAD), or (iii) 100% CAD.
Department of Agriculture, Co-operation and Farmers’ welfare has brought to the notice of this Directorate about various instances of non-compliance of Sanitary/ Phyto-sanitary measures by Indian Exporters while exporting goods. Importing Countries have been making complaints against Indian exporters, which amounts to disrepute to the image of the country and that can adversely impact the interest of other exporters as well as of country as a whole.
Contact@DGFT system has been activated at the DGFT website (www.dgft.gov.in) as a single point contact for resolving all foreign trade related issues. Exporters/Importers are requested to use this facility for resolution of foreign trade related issues either directly concerning DGFT (headquarters or regional offices) or concerning other agencies of the Central or State Governments.
