For the advance authorization (erstwhile licences), where raw sugar has been imported between 21.09.04 and 15.4.08, but the export obligation is yet to be fulfilled, the export obligation period stands automatically extended upto 31.12.2009 without payment of composition fee. Against these advance Authorisations/licences, no further E.O. extension shall be allowed beyond 31.12.2009.

Request for revalidation may be submitted to the concerned Regional Authority (who have issued the DFIA) within a maximum period of 30 daysfrom the date of the issuance of this Public Notice. DFIA shall be revalidated for a period of six months from the date of endorsement of revalidation. RAs shall endorse revalidation within a period of maximum 7 working days from the date of receipt of the request.

To provide relief to exporters of those sectors where total exports in that sector / product group has declined by more than 5%, average export obligation for 2008-09 may be reduced proportionate to reduction in exports of that particular sector / product group during 2008-09 as against 2007-08.
