CBEC sends data on exports to DGCIS daily that is generated out of their daily trade reports (DTRs), which is based on LEOs (Let Export Orders) issued that day. Hence any consignment in respect of which LEO has been issued gets reported as having been exported. Accordingly, consignments for which Let Export Orders (LEOs) have been issued till 2400 hours on Sunday, 04 March, 2012 will be outside the purview of Notification No.102 dated 05 March, 2012 cited above.

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends Notification No. 87(Re-2010)/2009-14 dated 05.12.2011 as follows.

Amendment in the subject of Notification No. 99 (RE-2010)/2009-14 dated 23.02.2012

In Notification No. 99 (RE-2010)/2009-14 dated 23.02.2012, the “Subject” heading at the top was mentioned as Permission for export of wheat through Land Custom Stations (LCS) on Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Nepal border. The contents of the notification, however, covered some other issues in addition to export through Land Custom Stations (LCS). Hence the Subject of the notification was not an accurate description of the contents. To avoid any chance of mis-interpretation, it is decided to amend the Subject to read as Re-notification of Sl. No. 46 A of Chapter 10 of ITC(HS) Classification of export & import items for export of wheat.

Prohibition on export of cotton(Tariff Codes 5201 and 5203)

(i) Export of cotton [ITC(HS) Codes 5201 & 5203] has been prohibited till further orders. (ii) Transitional arrangements will not be applicable for the export of cotton. (iii) Export against registration certificates already issued will also not be allowed.

There could be some supportive documents which an applicant would like to submit. These can be scanned and uploaded. The system has provision to upload up to 5 documents of 300 KB each in gif, html and pdf formats. Further, if required, additional documents may also be submitted by post to ‘The Foreign Trade Development Officer (PRC Section)’, 5th Floor, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 or can be scanned and e-mailed to prc@nic.in., quoting the reference number as at (iv) above.

Policy Circular No. 9 dated 30.6.2003 and Policy Circular No 15 dated 17.9.2003 prescribe exemption from the registration procedure for imports of approved and unapproved drugs under Advance Authorisation.
