Stakeholders have sought clarifications with regard to the accounting period for which the accounts would need to be prepared using the Accounting Standards, as amended through the Companies (Accounting Standards) Amendment Rules, 2016. The matter has been examined in the Ministry and it is hereby clarified that the amended Accounting Standards should be used for preparation of accounts for accounting periods commencing on or after the date of notification.

It has been decided to relax the additional fee payable on e-forms which are due for filing by companies between 25th March 2016 to 30th April, 2016 as one time waiver of additional fee and it is also clarified to stakeholders that if such due e-forms are filed after 10.05.2016, no such relaxation shall be allowed.
Every company to which Indian Accounting Standards apply, shall prepare its financial statements in accordance with this Schedule or with such modification as may be required under certain circumstances.
