The Companies (Issue of Share Capital with Differential Voting Rights) (Amendment) Rules, 2002

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, January 12, 2002

G.S.R. 27(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of section 86 read with clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) of section 642 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Companies (Issue of Share Capital with Differential Voting Rights) Rules, 2001, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.-

(1) These rules may be called the Companies (Issue of Share Capital with Differential Voting Rights) (Amendment) Rules, 2002.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.2.  In the Companies (Issue of Share Capital with Differential Voting Rights) Rules, 2001,  in rule 3, –

(i)  in sub-rule (1), for the words “preceding three financial years”,  the words ‘three financial years’  shall be substituted;

(ii)  in sub-rule (2), for the words “the financial year of the year”,  the words ‘the financial year’  shall be substituted;
