Subject: Setting up of NFAC under “Faceless Appellate Scheme, 2020”- reg
In pursuance of para 4 of S.O. 3296 Notification No 76/2020/F.No 370142/33/2020-TPL,dated the 25th September, 2020, notifying the Faceless Appeal Scheme, 2020 and powers conferred under section 250 (6B) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby sets up the National Faceless Appellate Centre (hereinafter referred to as the NFAC), which shall have its headquarters at Delhi and shall comprise of the following Income-tax Authorities: –

2. The NFAC will have such other ministerial staff, executive or consultant, as considered necessary, which will be provided by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income-tax, Delhi in consultation with the Board.
3. This order shall come into force with effect from the 25th September, 2020.
4. This issues with the approval of Chairman, CBDT.
5. The Hindi version of this order shall follow.

HON. CIT (NFAC), OUR PAN – AAATV****L. A.O. HAD PASSED ASSESSMENT ORDER FOR A.Y. 2015-16 WITHOUT TAKING INTO CONSIDERA- TION OUR REPLY. WE PREFERRED AN APPEAL BEFORE CIT(A) ON 26-12-2019. CIT(A)-9 AHMEDABAD HAD HEARD THE APPEAL. HOWEVER BEFORE HE DECIDE THE APPEAL, SAID APPEAL WAS TRANSFERRED TO FACELESS APPEAL CENTER. HOWEVER STILL IT IS NOT DECIDED. CPGRAM ALSO SAID TO WRITE TO FACELESS CENTER. PLEASE ARRANGE TO DISPOSE OFF APPEAL AT THE EARLIEST. THANKS J P SHAH-TRUSTEE
