Lok Sabha has issued a corrigenda for the Income Tax Bill, 2025, detailing corrections related to formatting, references, and legal citations. These corrections include minor typographical adjustments, such as changing “32. (1)” to “32.” on page 53 and modifying marginal headings, such as replacing “business profession” with “business or profession” on page 89. Several reference errors were also addressed, including the correction of “section 62(1)(a)” to “sections 62(1)(a)” and modifications in tax-related provisions, such as updating “Tax on income referred to in section 102 or 103 or 104 or 105” to also include section 106 on page 220.

Further amendments involve grammatical and structural changes, including replacing “notified” with “notify,” changing “in accordance with” to “as per,” and clarifying legal references by substituting “the Income-tax Act, 1961” with “the repealed Income-tax Act” across multiple sections. Certain marginal citations and redundant phrases have been omitted, ensuring better coherence in the bill. Additionally, legal references to the Probation of Offenders Act, 1958 have been modified to align with existing legal frameworks. These changes collectively ensure consistency and clarity in the proposed tax legislation.
