GSTN Releases July 2026 GST Revenue Collections: Gross GST Revenue Grows 15.4%, Net Revenue Rises 15.8%
The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has released the Gross and Net GST Revenue Collections for the month of July 2026, presenting provisional GST collection figures as on 31 July 2026. The report, released on 1 August 2026, provides details of gross and net GST revenue, refunds, state-wise collections, SGST settlements, and domestic collections for the period up to July 2026.
Gross GST Revenue
According to the report, Gross Domestic Revenue for July 2026 stood at ₹1,44,695 crore, compared with ₹1,31,439 crore in July 2025, registering a growth of 10.1%. Gross GST revenue from imports amounted to ₹66,511 crore, as against ₹51,626 crore during the corresponding month of the previous year, reflecting a growth of 28.8%.
As a result, Total Gross GST Revenue for July 2026 reached ₹2,11,205 crore, compared with ₹1,83,065 crore in July 2025, recording an overall growth of 15.4%.
For the cumulative period from April to July 2026, Gross Domestic Revenue stood at ₹5,99,121 crore, while Gross Import Revenue amounted to ₹2,43,783 crore. The cumulative Gross GST Revenue reached ₹8,42,905 crore, representing 10.1% growth over the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
GST Refunds
The report also provides details of GST refunds processed during July 2026.
Domestic refunds amounted to ₹17,680 crore, reflecting 7.3% growth over July 2025. Export GST refunds processed through ICEGATE stood at ₹12,288 crore, registering 22.7% growth. Consequently, Total GST Refunds during the month reached ₹29,968 crore, compared with ₹26,495 crore in July 2025, an increase of 13.1%.
For the period from April to July 2026, total refunds aggregated to ₹1,21,448 crore, showing 15.8% growth over the corresponding period of the previous year.
Net GST Revenue
After adjusting refunds, Net Domestic Revenue for July 2026 stood at ₹1,27,015 crore, representing 10.5% growth over July 2025. Net Customs GST Revenue amounted to ₹54,223 crore, reflecting 30.3% growth.
Accordingly, Total Net GST Revenue for July 2026 reached ₹1,81,237 crore, compared with ₹1,56,570 crore in July 2025, recording 15.8% growth.
For the cumulative period from April to July 2026, Total Net GST Revenue stood at ₹7,21,457 crore, reflecting 9.2% growth over the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
State-wise SGST Settlement
The report includes a detailed statement of pre-settlement and post-settlement SGST collections for every State and Union Territory for July 2026.
The post-settlement SGST collections across all States and Union Territories amounted to ₹97,270 crore, compared with ₹86,137 crore in July 2025, registering 13% growth. The report provides individual figures for all States and Union Territories, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Kerala, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Goa, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and others.
State-wise GST Revenue Growth
GSTN has also published State and Union Territory-wise GST revenue growth for July 2026.
Among the larger States, Haryana recorded 25% growth, Gujarat and Telangana each recorded 19% growth, Kerala and Jharkhand registered 16% growth, Uttar Pradesh recorded 15% growth, Maharashtra recorded 13% growth, Karnataka recorded 12% growth, Delhi recorded 8% growth, Odisha recorded 5% growth, while Tamil Nadu recorded a 1% decline and Madhya Pradesh recorded a 10% decline compared with July 2025. The report also contains corresponding figures for all other States and Union Territories.
State-wise Domestic Collections
In addition to monthly revenue figures, the report provides State-wise and approving authority-wise domestic GST collections for the period April 2026 to July 2026.
The data includes collections by Central formations and State formations, separate CGST, SGST and IGST collections, total collections, growth up to July 2026, and the number of GSTINs as on 31 July 2026 for every State and Union Territory.
At the national level, cumulative domestic collections up to July 2026 were reported as:
- CGST: ₹1,66,748 crore
- SGST: ₹1,99,471 crore
- IGST: ₹2,32,903 crore
- Total Domestic Collection: ₹5,99,121 crore
The report indicates an overall cumulative growth of approximately 4.5% in domestic collections up to July 2026.
Provisional Nature of Figures
GSTN has clarified that the figures contained in the report are provisional, and the actual figures may vary slightly upon finalisation. The report further states that post-settlement GST represents the cumulative GST revenues of the States and Union Territories together with the SGST portion of IGST settled to them. It also notes that the State-wise GST growth table does not include GST on import of goods.
