Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, has issued SB Order No. 09/2025 dated 30 June 2025, informing that the interest rates for various Small Savings Schemes will remain unchanged for the second quarter of the financial year 2025–26 (from 1 July to 30 September 2025). This decision, communicated via a memorandum from the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, confirms that the rates applicable in the first quarter (April–June 2025) will continue without revision. The directive has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and circulated to all postal circles and relevant administrative bodies. Post offices are instructed to display this information publicly and ensure its dissemination among concerned personnel. The order reiterates the government’s policy stance on maintaining stability in returns for small savings investors during the specified quarter.

Madam / Sir,

The undersigned is directed to intimate that, vide memorandum No. 1/4/2019-NS dated 30.06.2025 (copy enclosed), Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (Budget Division) has informed that the rates of interest on various Small Savings Schemes (National Savings Schemes) for the second quarter of financial year 2025-26 (starting from 1st July, 2025 and ending on 30th September, 2025) shall remain unchanged from those notified for the first quarter (1st April, 2025 to 30th June, 2025) of FY 2025-26.

2. It is requested to circulate it to all concerned for information and necessary guidance. This may also be placed on the notice board of all Post Offices in public area.

3. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
