Trent Limited, a leading retail company under the Tata Group, has announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and half-year ending 30th September 2026, showcasing significant growth in both standalone and consolidated metrics. The company reported a 23% year-on-year increase in standalone revenue from operations for the quarter, reaching ₹5,788 crore, while the operating EBITDA surged by 37% to ₹791 crore. The profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter rose by 9% to ₹490 crore.
The consolidated results mirrored this positive trajectory, with revenue from operations climbing 22% year-on-year to ₹5,873 crore for the quarter. The operating EBITDA increased by 37% to ₹785 crore, and the PAT saw a substantial 25% rise, reaching ₹468 crore. The company’s strategic expansion and diversification efforts have been pivotal in driving these results, with Trent opening its 1000th Zudio store during the quarter, contributing to a total of over 1300 fashion outlets across 339 cities, including international locations in the UAE.
Trent’s diverse portfolio, which includes Westside, Zudio, and Star, continues to gain traction. Notably, the emerging categories of beauty, personal care, innerwear, and footwear contributed over 21% of the company’s revenues. Online sales also showed promising growth, with Westside’s online revenues increasing by 20% and accounting for over 6% of its total revenues. The company’s food and grocery business, Star, reported over 20% growth in revenues, with a strong emphasis on its own brand products, which now constitute 74% of its sales.
Market analysts view Trent’s results as a testament to its effective business strategies and robust market positioning, particularly in the competitive retail sector. The company’s focus on expanding its footprint in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, along with its commitment to enhancing its product offerings, is expected to sustain its growth momentum. As Trent continues to invest in its retail concepts and explore new markets, the company is well-positioned to capitalise on the evolving consumer landscape and further strengthen its market presence.
