BENGALURU, India (October 29, 2026) — Axiro Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, has announced a strategic investment in ThinSiC Inc., a Silicon Valley-based company specialising in next-generation silicon carbide (SiC) power devices. Axiro will serve as the lead investor in ThinSiC’s latest financing round and will enter into a long-term commercial partnership aimed at advancing the development and commercialisation of ThinSiC’s innovative SiC technology.
This investment marks a significant step in Axiro’s strategy to expand its high-performance semiconductor portfolio, which currently focuses on RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity. The inclusion of silicon carbide technology is expected to enhance Axiro’s capabilities in power electronics, a sector where SiC is gaining traction as a superior alternative to traditional silicon for applications such as rail traction, industrial drives, and grid infrastructure. Through CG Power’s established presence in India’s power transmission and industrial sectors, Axiro is well-positioned to act as a strategic commercial channel for ThinSiC’s technology both domestically and internationally.
Dr. Naveen Yanduru, Chief Executive Officer of Axiro Semiconductor, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are pleased to support ThinSiC as an investor and strategic partner. This investment reflects our conviction that silicon carbide will be central to the next generation of power electronics. At Axiro, we are building deep capabilities in RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity, while extending into power semiconductors, where we see significant opportunity through the CG Power group’s presence across India’s power transmission and industrial infrastructure.”
T.S. Ravi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ThinSiC Inc., also welcomed the partnership, noting, “We are excited to have Axiro as an investor and partner. Their semiconductor expertise, strategic vision for power, and access to one of India’s leading industrial groups will help us accelerate the commercialisation of our advanced SiC devices.”
This collaboration between Axiro and ThinSiC is anticipated to address the cost and scalability challenges that have previously hindered the widespread adoption of high-voltage SiC technology. Analysts suggest that this partnership could significantly impact the power electronics market, offering more cost-effective and scalable solutions for various industrial applications.
