This notification changes the name of the “Directorate General of Anti-Evasion (Central Excise)” to “Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence”

Notification No. 54/2000-Central Excise (N.T).

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 2 of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with rule 4 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Central Board of Excise and Customs No.215/86-Central Excise, dated the 27th March, 1986, namely: –

In the said notification, for the words and brackets “Directorate General of Anti-Evasion(Central Excise)”, at the two places where they occur, the words “Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence” shall be substituted.
