In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (6) of rule 57A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 17/2000-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 1st March, 2000 [G.S.R. 209(E), dated the 1st March, 2000], on and from the 1st day of April, 2000.
